At least 25 people have reportedly been killed in a suspected car bomb which ripped through a crowded entertainment spot in the northern Nigerian city of Kano on Sunday evening, witnesses said.
The blast happened on a busy road lined with bars in the predominantly Christian area of Sabon Giri, and could be heard several miles.
Although Nigeria’s Channels television said 10 people had been killed, there was no official confirmation from police in the city.
Eye witnesses gave a different account, alleging that more than twenty five killed in the blast.
